John served in the US Air Force as a fighter pilot, instructor fighter pilot, tactical academic trainer, and military planner in Southeast Asia, and Staff Officer. He left the military, became a stay-at-home dad, and ran several businesses from home as a corporate trainer, speaker, and training consultant in order to support his family through ongoing devastating health issues which, in conjunction with military service, brought about PTSD, trauma, loss, and grief, exacting a horrific toll on his and his family’s spiritual and human lives. He later worked for Hewlett-Packard as a corporate sales training manager and global training program manager. He then left civilian life to continue his military career and serve with his two oldest sons in the US Army as an Intelligence Officer. He served in Afghanistan and retired in 2019 as a combat service veteran.
Today, he pursues his life purpose to educate and empower others as he writes and speaks about Spiritual understanding, growth and transformation as a personal commitment to help those who also seek healing from PTSD, trauma, loss and grief. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and he and his former spouse have four children. He attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and later earned an MBA while in the military from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
